LabAlpha Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

LabAlpha (the "Extension") is a reader for the LabAlpha feed of publicly-reported defense and dual-use technology test events. This policy explains what it does and does not collect.

What we collect

No personal data. The Extension has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information.

Local storage

The Extension stores only your own display settings (such as the feed URL and refresh interval) locally in your browser via Chrome's storage API. These never leave your device.

Network requests

The Extension fetches the public LabAlpha feed to display stories and to check for new items. Only standard requests to retrieve that public content are made; no user data is sent.

Notifications and alarms

With your permission, the Extension periodically checks the public feed and shows a desktop notification when new test events are published. This uses Chrome's alarms and notifications APIs and involves no personal data.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, share, rent, or transfer any data. The Extension collects none.
